Song Flight - Week 1

Into the Murmuration

The Song Flight pilot launched this week on Monday, February 13th with 21 Ukrainian children at the Josyf Cardinal Slipyj School in Toronto, Canada.

The kids and I had a great time getting to know one another, and with the help of their teacher, we read a story, learned about an intriguing dream that included a murmuration, and drew birds. It was lots of fun and we’re looking forward to meeting again next week to continue the story and learn more about the fascinating world of birds.

Below is a short video that recaps our meeting. Just click the image to see it. The song you’ll hear in the background is the Song Flight theme song, “A World Full of Magic” sung by Rasp, the musician who composed the melody. Yours truly wrote the lyrics.
